    Produktbeschreibung

Was ist das Besondere am Bohnito Precision Scale?

Bohnito Precision Scale – The coffee scale for precise extraction

The Bohnito Precision Scale is the digital coffee scale for anyone who refuses to compromise on espresso extraction. With a resolution of 0.1 g and a measuring range up to 3,000 g, it is equally suited to espresso shots and to pour-over and filter coffee setups.

The integrated timer and the flow-rate display turn the Precision Scale into a complete brew station: at a glance you see weight, brew time, and water flow – the three variables that determine your espresso quality.

    Why a dedicated espresso scale?

Repeatable espresso requires measurable inputs. Anyone dosing by eye gets different results cup after cup – sometimes too sour, sometimes too bitter. A precise coffee scale solves the problem: you know your exact input and output values, can hold brew ratios cleanly (e.g. 1:2 or 1:2.5), and can adjust brews in a targeted way.

With the timer and flow-rate function you go one step further: you spot channeling, dial in grind adjustments with confidence, and develop true repeatability – whether on the portafilter or in the Hario V60.

Frequently asked questions about the espresso scale

Why do I need a coffee scale with a timer?

Espresso extraction is a time-dependent process. A scale with a timer shows you not only the output weight but also how long your shot ran. This lets you see whether your extraction sits in the right zone (typically 25–32 seconds) – and adjust grind and dose accordingly.

What resolution should an espresso scale have?

At least 0.1 g. With espresso, you usually weigh 9–25 g of coffee grounds against 18–50 g of output – and there 0.1 g accuracy is what determines repeatability. Kitchen scales with 1 g resolution are unsuitable for espresso.

What is flow rate and why does it matter?

The flow rate shows how much espresso flows from the portafilter per second. A rate that is too fast points to a grind that is too coarse or to channeling – one that is too slow points to a grind that is too fine. With the WDT Tool and a precise tamper combined with flow-rate tracking, the causes can be cleanly isolated.

    Is the Precision Scale waterproof?

The Bohnito Precision Scale is splash-resistant thanks to its tempered glass surface, but not fully waterproof. Drops simply wipe away – direct immersion or rinsing under running water is not intended.
