    Produktbeschreibung

Was ist das Besondere am Bohnito Spin Pro WDT?

Bohnito Spin Pro WDT Tool – Precision for your espresso

The Bohnito Spin Pro WDT Tool is the tool for baristas who make no compromises with their espresso. Developed for the highest precision, it ensures an even distribution of the coffee grounds in the portafilter – the foundation of a balanced extraction and consistent flavor quality.

Crafted from solid aluminum and equipped with a magnetic holder station, the Spin Pro unites function and design at the highest level. Designed in Germany.

    What is a WDT tool?

WDT stands for Weiss Distribution Technique – a method of loosening and evenly distributing the coffee grounds in the portafilter with fine needles before tamping. Clumps are broken up, pressure builds evenly during brewing, and the dreaded channeling (uneven water flow) is prevented.

A good WDT tool is now standard equipment in any serious espresso setup – whether in the café or at home on the portafilter.

Your benefits with the Bohnito Spin Pro

    • Even extraction: Fine, replaceable stainless steel needles pass through the coffee grounds without residue
    • No more channeling: Clumps are broken up – water flows evenly through the entire puck
    • Ergonomic design: Solid aluminum handle sits heavy and secure in the hand
    • Magnetic station: Stored safely right at the workstation – no more searching
    • Repeatable results: The same quality cup after cup
    • Designed in Germany: Precisely manufactured to German quality standards

Frequently asked questions about the WDT tool

    What does WDT mean?

WDT stands for Weiss Distribution Technique, named after John Weiss. The method was developed to break up clumps in ground coffee and distribute the coffee grounds evenly in the portafilter – for a repeatable espresso extraction.

    Is a WDT tool worthwhile?

Yes – especially with fine espresso grind settings. Statically charged coffee grounds often form clumps during grinding that later cause channeling. A WDT tool breaks these up and measurably improves extraction – both in flavor and in consistency.

How do you use a WDT tool?

After grinding, insert it into the filled basket, rotate through the grounds with circular movements for 5–10 seconds, then tamp evenly. The needles should not touch the bottom of the basket, to avoid damage.

Which tamper goes with the WDT tool?

We recommend our Bohnito Flat Pro Tamper series for even tamping after the WDT step. Both tools are matched to each other – for repeatable espresso extraction at a professional level.
